Requirements for Remote
Online
Notarization

  • Signers must be at least 18 years old

  • The document being notarized must be intended for use in the U.S.

  • U.S. Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)

  • U.S. address

  • A valid email address

  • Government-issued photo ID from this list

  • Normally at least 6 months of credit history for the system to generate identification questions

 
To ensure the RON platform will operate as expected, you will need:

  • A computer, tablet or mobile device with a webcam

  • One of the following supported internet browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari or the Notarize app on a mobile device

  • A strong internet connection
